Quantum Computing Internship for masters and PhD Students
Our full-time summer internships are designed to enable current students in a technical field to translate their skills and expertise into an industrial setting. You will join us at our office in Cambridge, UK, for 10 to 12 weeks, where you will have the opportunity to work alongside our team of software and hardware engineers, mathematicians, quantum information theorists, computational chemists and physicists – all experts in their fields
Product Design Internship
Our full-time Product Design Internship is designed to enable current students on a design degree to translate their skills and expertise into an industrial setting. You will join us at our office in Cambridge, UK, for 10 to 12 weeks, where you will have the opportunity to work alongside our world-class team of developers, mathematicians, product managers and designers.
Quantum Computing Internship Scheme for PhD Students
Our full-time internships are designed to enable current students in a quantitative field to step out of their PhD research for a short time period and to translate their skills and expertise into an industrial setting. We welcome and encourage applications from people who do not have a background in quantum computing, including computer scientists, software engineers and developers. This year we are looking for candidates to apply for one of ten internship projects.

Lead Digital Design Engineer
As a Lead Digital Design Engineer you will work on the complete ASIC/FPGA product development flow, starting from understanding the problem space, specifying the architecture, developing the micro-architecture, writing RTL and then taking the design through to implementation to obtain the best possible power, performance and area.
Quantum Content & Community Lead
You will play a key role in our strategy to build Riverlane’s brand as a global science, product and thought leader in quantum computing. The audiences you’ll focus on are media, stakeholders and the quantum computing industry itself. As an important company in an exciting but still emerging field, the opportunity is enormous.
Quantum Solutions Engineer
Reporting to the Head of US Government Partnerships, the successful candidate will develop, propose and lead new quantum technology research projects for US government programs.

Flexible working
Getting face-to-face is something we value and is essential for our roles and to support our growth. We operate a hybrid working policy, with the staff in the office at least three days a week, with the option to work two days from home.
Many of our staff work flexibly in other ways, including part-time, We also offer relocation assistance. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility and support you need.

Our hiring managers want to understand more about your technical skills and experience and what you can contribute to the role. They will also provide more details about the role and answer any questions you may have.

To help us assess your technical capabilities, we will give you one week to solve a role-specific technical challenge. Feel free to ask questions along the way!
1 week
You've made it to the end of the process! Your final interview takes place at our Cambridge office or via Zoom, introducing you to some of our technical team and a senior staff member. We'll ask you to discuss your submitted solutions to the technical challenge, and the team will dig deeper into your skills and experience.
