About Steve Brierley OBE, Founder & CEO of Riverlane
I've been fascinated by quantum physics ever since it was first introduced to me as an undergraduate at University of York. Later when working in the field, I learned that the majority of my peers were sure we wouldn’t see a useful quantum computer in our lifetime. I disagreed, and founded Riverlane in 2016 after my own research indicated that quantum computing was broadly following its own Moore’s Law. I believe quantum computing will start an era of human progress as significant as the digital and industrial revolutions. But it will require continuous innovation and collaboration.
