About the role

As the Head of US Government Partnerships, you’ll build the team responsible for partnering with federal agencies to make quantum computing useful far sooner than previously imaginable.  As an experienced technology leader, strategic account manager, and business development expert, you’ll work closely with many of the top quantum scientists, engineers, and product managers in the world.  Together we’ll establish strategic alliances between innovative qubit companies, academic institutions, and government agencies that help solve humanity’s most pressing issues including climate change and incurable disease.

What you will do

  • Build consortiums that win US government research grants for quantum computing initiatives.
  • Recruit and develop a world class federal partnership team.
  • Establish strategic quantum computing relationships within the US government.
  • Create opportunities that help guide Riverlane’s Deltaflow product roadmap.
  • Innovate new partnership models to drive exponential growth.
  • Manage relationships and expectations across the company to prioritize project investments.
  • Adapt to unexpected events. Communicate key learnings with our cross functional teams.
  • As one of the first US based employees, evangelize and represent Riverlane with the federal government as well as the broader quantum ecosystem.
  • Bring a positive, inclusive attitude and growth mindset.

What we need

  • A creative leader interested in leveraging their federal government expertise to help solve important problems through technology that we are inventing.
  • Demonstrable success in federal government partnership roles in the tech sector, preferably with a deep tech products.
  • Experience working with complex scientific and technological concepts; the ability to express them in clear written and visual language.
  • A partner/customer/user obsession in everything you do.
  • High level of data literacy and a data-driven approach to prioritizing partnership investments.
  • Business acumen to translate Riverlane’s capabilities into strategic alliances.
  • Collaborative cross-functional team player.
  • Startup personality: smart, ethical, can do, driven and proactive.
  • Verifiable track record of achieving commercial results.

Even better if

  • You’ve worked closely with federal agencies or a broader national security enterprise.
  • You hold or are eligible for a security clearance.
  • You have an advanced degree or equivalent experience in math, physics, computer science, engineering, or technical fields relevant to quantum computing
  • and/or You have work experience with quantum computing, cloud computing, or other advanced computing organizations.
  • 10+ years of related experience, including leading teams.
