We’re at a very exciting crossroads in the history of computing—our community needs to become QEC ready as we push onwards towards the development of useful fault-tolerant quantum computers.

Liz Durst has empowered people around the world to use and advance quantum computing since founding the Qiskit user mission at IBM in 2018. Her contributions to quantum open-source software, QPU access programs, and building world-class learning resources are used by the majority of professionals in this field. Guiding over $100M in global workforce development investments, she has led the creation of the quantum developer ecosystem with the aim to build the future workforce of computing to be welcoming and representative of the wider world.
