Elisha Siddiqui Matekole

Research Scientist


Elisha is a quantum physicist with over 6 years’ experience in quantum optics and quantum computing. Elisha achieved her PHD in quantum optics at Louisiana State University. After that, she pursued a career as a research associate at Brookhaven National Laboratory, where she worked on low-level programming models for optimization of NISQ-devices with focus on pulse level control, and machine learning assisted Quantum Error Correction. Notably, Elisha was published in Physics Review Letters while working towards her PHD. Elisha has a passion to continuously learn and grow as a scientist.

In addition to her work, she is passionate about encouraging women in STEM and mentoring students. Elisha enjoys reading, singing and listening to Brooklyn Tabernacle albums.
