Dave Plant awarded fellowship at Royal Society of Chemistry
Congratulations to Dave Plant, Principal Quantum Scientist at Riverlane, for successfully achieving Fellowship status with the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC).
The RSC is the UK’s professional body for chemical sciences. Their overarching purpose to enable the general advancement of chemical science and its application.
On starting his chemistry PhD at the University College London in 2001, Dave joined the RSC as a member. Dave has since demonstrated a number of achievements in his career; while at the Atomic Weapons Establishment he created a quantum computational chemistry capability, for use on bespoke high-performance computing platforms. Dave has also won the Ministry of Defence Chief Scientific Advisor Award in 2014, and again in 2019.
On his latest achievement, Dave commented, “I am delighted and honoured at becoming a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, which represents a highlight in my career as a professional chemist. I would like to thank all those who have supported me during my career in chemistry up to this point.”
